Get The Most Out Of Your Experience

The unique nature of this training program is that you can completely sculpt it to your own convenience. Have a day job? Train here on the weekend or evenings. Work or go to school full-time? Train around your work or school schedule. At Pegasus we provide one-on-one support with an instructor, setting up a schedule each month specifically for you. Programs can range from 5 to 40 hours per week.

Everyone learns differently and a few students will already come with some horse knowledge or background. Our goal is to get you educated as quickly as possible in the areas you're interested in. We estimate that 150 hours should get most students ready to go out and get a basic job caring for horses. Logically, more skills make you more employable at higher rate of pay.

After 150 hours of training, qualified students can work in exchange for further training.

We also provide our students with assistance in job searching. The best student will often be offered a job here at Pegasus Riding School. There is a dire need for qualified horse professionals right now and we will have a formal and detailed letter of recommendation specifically spelling out the particular skills of each trainee. This will streamline the job application process and provide confidence to prospective employers that you are qualified.

Furthermore, Pegasus Riding School is interconnected with a wide network of other professionals nationwide. We will place ads for our program encouraging other farms and stables to hire our trainees. We can give you personal guidance on how to fine hone your search. Past trainees from Pegasus have gone on to get jobs as managers at Kentucky breeding farms, assistant trainers and instructors to top national competitors, and to successfully owning and operating their own horse farms.
